At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Geeti Gupta for an exclusive interview with us. Geeti is an Entrepreneur and Founder & Director at Radiancia Co. Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Geeti:
Could you talk us through your background and your journey?
My background has always been deeply rooted in family and values. I was born into a loving household and grew up with four siblings, which instilled in me a strong sense of togetherness, responsibility, and resilience from an early age. I got married young and became part of a caring and supportive family.
For nearly 22 years after my marriage, I dedicated myself fully to being a homemaker. My world revolved around my children, and their education became my highest priority. Those years were filled with learning, patience, and silent strength, even though my contributions were largely within the home.
Over time, however, I began to feel a quiet yet persistent desire to create an identity of my own — something that reflected my individuality and potential. That realisation marked a turning point. Stepping outside my comfort zone, I explored opportunities and eventually joined a Swedish cosmetic company operating on a direct-selling model.
My very first paycheck was just ₹250. While the amount was small, its emotional significance was immense. Those first 250 rupees symbolised self-belief, independence, and the beginning of a completely new chapter in my life.
How did you discover your passion?
When I first decided that I wanted to become independent, I did not have a defined career path in mind. I simply knew that I wanted to do something meaningful and stand on my own feet.
A chance meeting with a junior from my old school became a defining moment. During a casual conversation, I shared my thoughts with her. She was working with a forensic and event-related company at the time and mentioned they were looking to expand their client base. She suggested that I could assist with client acquisition, planning, and customisation, while their backend team would handle production and logistics.
Initially, I was filled with self-doubt. The responsibility felt overwhelming, and I questioned whether I could truly manage such work. But I have always believed in challenging my fears rather than surrendering to them. So, I decided to take the leap.
My first project involved planning a grand wedding in JP Noida. The event turned out to be a tremendous success, both creatively and professionally. Beyond the financial reward, it awakened something far more meaningful within me. I discovered a deep love for décor, flowers, aesthetics, and the art of creating memorable experiences.
That experience revealed my true passion — creativity, celebrations, and the joy of bringing people’s dreams to life.
Who has been your biggest source of motivation?
Like any meaningful journey, mine has been filled with challenges, uncertainties, and sacrifices. Throughout it all, my children remained my strongest source of motivation. Their growth and education were always at the centre of my decisions. Seeing them excel academically and become merit holders gave me immense satisfaction and reaffirmed my belief in perseverance.
In the early stages, not all my choices were easily understood or supported by my family. During those moments, I became my own greatest source of strength. I knew that if I wanted to build something for myself, I had to keep moving forward with conviction.
Successfully completing my first major event brought a powerful sense of confidence. Over time, my support system grew stronger. Today, I remain deeply grateful to my mentor who guided me into this field, my children who continue to inspire me, and my sisters whose encouragement has been unwavering.
What strategies have helped you grow as a person and entrepreneur?
One of the most defining phases of my journey was launching my company just before the COVID pandemic. The uncertainty during that period could have been discouraging, but instead, it strengthened my resilience and adaptability.
Before the pandemic, I had already taken on smaller assignments to refine my skills. When the events industry came to a standstill, I chose to diversify rather than pause. I began working on content writing projects for politicians, professors, magazines, and publications. This allowed me to stay mentally engaged, creatively active, and financially stable.
Coming from a family of jewellers, I also supported that business by assisting friends and acquaintances with jewellery purchases. The guiding mindset during that time was simple yet powerful: remain active, stay flexible, and never stop learning.
My core strategies for growth have always centred around continuous learning, understanding people’s needs, maintaining consistency, nurturing creativity, and embracing adaptability. Every experience contributes to personal and professional evolution.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
I view success as an ongoing journey rather than a final destination. While I am proud of my progress, I consider each milestone a stepping stone toward greater growth.
Strong networking, clear communication, and uncompromising quality have been fundamental to my journey. It is essential to demonstrate your unique value — what sets you apart and why people should trust your work.
Equally important is listening deeply to clients. Events, especially weddings, are once-in-a-lifetime moments filled with emotion and personal significance. My priority has always been to understand those aspirations and translate them into meaningful experiences.
Above all, authenticity, dedication to one’s strengths, and a commitment to lifelong learning form the true foundation of success.
What advice would you like to share with our readers?
One belief I hold very strongly is that women possess extraordinary potential. More often than not, the only barriers are hesitation and self-doubt rather than capability.
When a woman can manage a family, balance countless responsibilities, and navigate daily challenges with resilience, there is no limit to what she can achieve. Confidence, courage, and consistent action are the true catalysts of transformation.
Hardships are inevitable in any journey, but persistence and discipline make every challenge manageable. Dreams should never be compromised due to fear or temporary setbacks.
Consistent effort truly defines progress — मेहनत ही सफलता की कुंजी है. With self-belief, clarity, and determination, anyone can create something remarkable.
